I seek Allah’s protection/refuge/shelter from Shaitaan, the Accursed one.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Meaning :
Al-Ra'd means "The Thunder".
Introduction:
- This is the 13 Surah of Quran.
- This Surah has 43 Verses.
- This Surah has 6 Ruku.
- No. of words : 854.
- No. of Letters : 3450.
- This is "Makki" Surah of Quran. (This Surah was revealed in the last stage of the Prophet's residence at Makkah and during the same period in which Surahs Yunus, Hud and Al-A'raf were revealed).
- This Surah has one "Sajda ".
And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the afternoons. [ar-Ra’d, 13:15]
- The goal of the Sura : the power of truth and the weakness of falsehood.
- Basic theme of the Surah is divine guidance.
- Allah's signs in nature.
- Allah has created the whole universe.
- The Qur'an is the revelation of Allah.
- Allah never changes the condition of a people unless they are willing to change themselves.
- Those who do not respond to the call of Allah will have no way to escape from the fire of hell.
- The comfort of the heart lies in the remembrance of Allah.
- Rasools have no power to show any miracle except by the leave of Allah.
- Allah sent His prophets and guides to all people for their guidance.
- The main theme of this Surah is, "The Message of Muhammad( PBUH) is the very Truth, but it is the fault of the people that they are rejecting it."
