Being thankful to Allah is the key to blessings. As Allah says in Holy Quran : "If you are grateful, I will surely give you more and more" (Ibrahim 14:7).
Gratitude (Shukr) is the path to loving Allah.
Shukr can be shown in three ways:
- Shukr of the heart (Qalb), which is achieved by harboring and intending good for all of Allah's creation.
- Shukr of the tongue (Lisan), which involves celebrating the praises of Allah, such as utterance of Alhamdulillah, and expressing gratefulness to Allah with our tongue.
- Shukr of the limbs (Jawarih), which is fulfilled by using our external senses to do good. Every time Allah gives us a blessing, we must use it in a way that benefits humanity and that pleases Allah.

Muslims regard Allah as a Ruler and as the Creator of the whole universe. He is the Creator of this world alone and also He is The Most Merciful for all His humankind. Allah has commanded us to give thanks to Him for those blessings, and not to deny them. He says:
“Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me” [Quran 2:152]

Our first 'Shukar' (being Thankful & Gratitude to Allah) is that he born us in a Muslim family or a Muslim. Being a Muslim is really a great honour that Allah has chosen us among seven billion people in the planet and bestowed us with His counless blessings.
Developing the attitude of Gratitude towards Allah will change your life.
A Muslim is always asking his Lord to help him to give thanks to Him, because were it not for Allah’s helping His slave, he would not be able to give thanks. Hence, it is prescribed to ask for help from Allah to give thanks to Him. No doubt, being a Muslim is the biggest reward from Allah towards His slave.

Although there are countless number of reasons for which a person needs to be grateful to Allah, however, there is one single blessing and gift of Allah that supersedes all His blessings, mercies and gifts, and that gift is being a human. In Quran, Allah says:
It is He Who created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding; little thank s it is ye give!” (31:31)
So always Shukr to Allah Almighty for His blessings and be humble.
Alhumdullilah ! Allah has made me a Muslim.
