 بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Meaning :


Al- Hajj means "The Pilgrimage".
This Surah takes its name from Verse : 27.
Some Verses of this Surah are about Hajj Pilgrimage that is why it is called Surah Al- Hajj.
Introduction :

  • This is the 22nd Surah of Quran.
  • This Surah contains the both characteristics of "Makki" and "Madni" Surahs.
  • This Surah has 78 Verses.
  • This Surah has 10 Ruku.
Sajdah :
This Surah has 02 Ayate-e-Sajdah. (Verse 18 and 77)

  • Someone who commits Shirk is like someone who falls from the sky and his body is snatched away by birds. 
  • The fact that it is not the blood or the flesh of a sacrificed animal which reaches Allah but the piety of the individual who is offering the sacrifice.

  • The first Commandment of Allah granting permission to the believers to defend themselves and fight against the unbelievers and mushrikin. 
  • On the Day of Judgement, Allah Himself will be the Judge for all. 
  • It invites people to verify the instructive fate of those who passed away, and the painful Divine punishments which were sent down upon them. 
  • Hajj Pilgrimage and its historical background.

  • Struggles which were performed aginst the hostile invaders.
  • Allah promise to those who migrate for Allah's sake that He will reward them generously. 
  • Some part of this Surah contains some advices upon different fields of life, and some encouragement to prayer, trust, and considering Allah.

Al-Anbiya means " The Prophets".
This Surah tells us about 16 Prophets.

  • There is no deity but Allah, so worship Allah alone.

  • Allah has sent His Messengers for people's guidance and favour.

Meaning :
The name taken from verse:1, the word"Ta Ha" is mentioned here.


This holy Surah is the first Surah of the Qur’an which has explained the Story of Musa (as) in details, and about 80 verses of it have been stated in this regard.
Introduction :

  • This is 20th Surah of Quran.
  • This is "Meccan" Surah.
  • This Surah has 135 Verses.
  • This Surah has 8 Ruku.
  • This Surah has 1,353 words.

Note :
 It is also mentioned that the recitation of this Surah by ‘Umar’s sister led to his conversion to Islam.  This took place sometimes in the 5th year of Prophethood.

Lessons :
We can learn three lessons from Surah Ta Ha :
  1. Whatever is taken is always replaced with something better.

2."Salat" is the blessing and best source to get closer to Allah and convay Him all our needs, worries, wishes and secrets. ( Verse : 132 of Surah Ta Ha)
 
3. Allah is always with us, whatever the situation is.

Meaning :
This is the only Surah which has been entitled by entitled by the name of a woman in the Quran, is the very Surah, Surah Maryam.
Allah has mentioned no women in the Quran directly by her proper except virtuous Maryam (as). And the name occurs 34 times in the Quran.
It takes is name from Verse: 16.
Hazrat Ja'afar recited Verses: 1-40 of this Surah in the court of Negus when he called the Migrants to his court.  At first, eleven men and four women left for Habash.

  • This Surah was revealed before the Migration to Habash.

Meaning :
Al Kahf means "The Cave". The Surah takes its name from Verse : 9.
The story of "Ashab-e-Kahf" (  The Sleepers in the Cave of "Kahf") has been narrated to show how the righteous people in the past have saved their Faith.

  • This is "Meccan" Surah.
  • This Surah has 110 Verses.
  • This Surah has 12 Ruku.
  • This Surah has 1583 words.
  • This Surah has 6425 letters.
Significance :
This Surah has come with a variety of virtues.

  • Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light from one Friday to the next. 
  • As Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W)
"One who memorized the first ten verses or ayyats of Surah Al Kahf will be secure against the Dajjal." (Sahih Muslim)
Every Muslim Men and Women try your best to Read Surah AL Kahf on the day of Jummah or on the night of Jummah. Also try to memorize Surah Al Kahf.
May Allah protect all of us from the Fitna of Dajjal and forgive all of our sins (Ameen).

  • This Surah was sent down in answer to the three questions which the mushriks of Makkah, in consultation with the people of the Book, had put to the Holy Prophet in order to test him. These were:
 (1) Who were "the Sleepers of' the Cave"? 
 (2) What is the real story of Khidr? and Musa(as)
 (3) What do you know about Zulqarnain?
  • "The Sleepers of the Cave, Kahf were believed in "Tauheed".
  • The story of Hazrat Khider and Hazrat Musa is also narrated.
  • This Surah also revealed about the facts related to "Zulqarnain".
  • "Tauheed" and the Hereafter is absolutely true.
  • There are four major themes in Surah Al-Kahf :
1. Trial of Faith –  People of the Cave/ Ashabu Al-Kahf (Verses 9 – 26)
2. Trial of Wealth – The story of the rich and the poor (Verses 32 – 44)

3. Trial of Knowledge – Moses and Al-Khidr (Verses 60–82)
4. Trial of Power – Dhul-Qar-nayn with Yajuj Majuj (Verses 83–98)

Meaning :
"Al-Isra" is about the journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to "Mi'raj", takes its name from the first Verse.

This Surah was revealed on the occasion of "Mi'raj"( Ascension). This event happened one year before Hijrah.
This Surah is also known as "Surah Bani- Isra'il" ( from Verse : 4), for the story of "children of Isra'il".
Introduction :

  • This is the 17th Surah of Quran.
  • This is "Makki" Surah.
  • This Surah has 111 Verses.
  • This Surah has 12 Ruku.
Sajdah :

This Surah has one "Sajdah-e-Tilawat" in Verse No. 109.
Topics :


  • This Surah is a wonderful combination of warning, admonishion and instruction which have been blended together in a balanced proportion.
  • Event of "Mi'raj" : The first verse refers to Mohammed (PBUH) being taken from the 'Sacred Mosque' to the 'Farthest Mosque'.

  • The Surah starts with the "Glorification of Allah" and ends up with praising and worshipping Him. 
  • Be kind and obedient to parents.
 
  • Be generous to relatives and the needy. 
  • Do not be a miser or a spendthrift. 
  • Do not kill your children for fear of poverty.

  • Do not slay without just cause.
  • Do not say anything without knowledge. 
  • Do not walk arrogantly on earth.

  • Safeguard the property of orphans. 
  • Allah does not beget children and those who say this, utter a monstrous lie. 
  • There is a life after death.
  • The obligation of Five Daily Prayers and the prayer of Tahajjud (special late night prayer).
  • Rasools  are also humans are sent to human beings. 
  • Perform Salah in a voice which is neither too loud nor too soft.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Meaning :
Al- Nahl means "The Bees" ( Honey Bees).
It is based after the bee mentioned in Verse : 68 -69.
"And your Lord taught the honey bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought."

Introduction :
The bee is one of many examples mentioned in this chapter of God's grace towards His creation.One of the name of this Surah is "the Surah of Blessings" for there are the names of over 50 blessings mentioned in it.

  • This is the 16th Surah of Quran.
  • This is :Makki" Surah.
  • This Surah has 128 Verses.
  • This Surah has 16 Ruku.

Topics :

  • The verse 66 talks about the miracle in milk formation in cattle: "From what is within their bodies, between excretions and blood, We produce for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it." 
  • The verse 67 talks about miracle of vine: "And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out strong drink and wholesome food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise".
  • Allah commands to do justice, be good to others, and give to near relatives; and He forbids indecency, wickedness, and rebellion.

  • Seek Allah's protection against Shaitan before starting to recite The Qur'an.
  • Halal (lawful) and Haram (unlawful) are only from Allah.
  • Ibrahim was a nation in himself.
  • Call towards the Way of Allah with wisdom; advise and reason in a courteous manner.
  • The Holy Prophet and his companions have been comforted and told about the attitude they should adopt in the face of antagonism and persecution by the disbelievers.
