Surah An-Nur

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
I seek Allah’s protection/refuge/shelter from Shaitaan, the Accursed one.
 بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Meaning :

Al-Nur means "The Light"
It has been named "Al-Nur" because in Verse : 35, Allah has been introduced himself as :
"The light of the heavens and the earth."
Teaching and reciting this Surah by women is strongly recommended.

• This is 24th Surah of Quran.
• This Surah is Madani.
• This Surah has 64 Verses.
• This Surah has 9 Ruku.

• This Surah contains many rules for the development of society.
• Male-Female relations based on righteousness and morality as per narrated in Islam.

• Rules about entering others's home and ask about permission to enter. 

• The light of Allah and the struggle between light and darkness.

• Believers must obey Allah and His messenger. Allah's promise to the Believers to establish them in the land. As in Surah An-Nur, Verses :23-42 :

 

• Rules of privacy for men and women, at home and outside. 
• Respect of the Prophet and Believers' duties towards him.
