Surah Ash-Shu'araa

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
I seek Allah’s protection/refuge/shelter from Shaitaan, the Accursed one.
 بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Meaning :

Shu'ara means "Poets".
This Surah takes its name from Verse: 224 in which the word "Ash-Shu'araa" occurs.
"And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them; ( Verse: 224)  وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ
But It does not mean that this name is the actual topic discussed in the whole Surah. It is just a reference and mark/symbol to distinguish this Surah from others as is with most other Surahs of Quran. While there are diversified topics discussed in these Surahs.

• This is the 26th Surah of Quran.
• This Surah is "Mekki".
• This Surah has 227 Verses.
• This Surah has 11 Ruku.

It talks about various prophets and their tribes. 

Also how the disbelievers were destroyed after threatening prophets with death. 

It also talks about the mercy of Allah (God). 

This Surah starts with the story of Prophet Musa, followed by that of Prophet Ibrahim (RA).

The Qur'an is the message from the Lord of the worlds. It is neither from devils nor do they have any cue lof this message. It is not poetry of the poets. It is a serious message with eternal consequences.
