أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
I seek Allah’s protection/refuge/shelter from Shaitaan, the Accursed one.
 بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Meaning :

Shu'ara means "Poets".
This Surah takes its name from Verse: 224 in which the word "Ash-Shu'araa" occurs.
"And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them; ( Verse: 224)  وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ
But It does not mean that this name is the actual topic discussed in the whole Surah. It is just a reference and mark/symbol to distinguish this Surah from others as is with most other Surahs of Quran. While there are diversified topics discussed in these Surahs.

    Al- Furqan means " The Criterion".
    The Surah takes its name "Al-Furqan" from the first verse.

    Meaning :

    Al-Nur means "The Light"
    It has been named "Al-Nur" because in Verse : 35, Allah has been introduced himself as :
    "The light of the heavens and the earth."
    Teaching and reciting this Surah by women is strongly recommended.

    Meaning :
    Al Mu'minum means "The Believers".
    The central theme of the surah is to invite the people to accept and follow the Message of the Holy Prophet and the whole Surah revolves round this theme.
    "The believers have indeed attained true success." (23:1)
    This Surah was revealed during the middle stage of the Prophet's residence at Makkah. It was the climax of the famine in that region (vv. 75-76).
